Callaway Henderson Sotheby's,Laura came to Princeton in 1983, from Boston, by way of Virginia and Washington, DC. She attended The National Cathedral School for Girls, graduated from The College of William & Mary with a BA in Philosophy, Psychology and Theatre, and went on to get her master’s degree in Theatre from The University of Virginia.
She did her post-graduate work at The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and spent the next 20 years acting and directing professionally in Boston, Princeton, (McCarter Theatre from 1983-1999), and New York City, with several years spent at The Williamstown Theatre Festival. A Professor at Marymount Manhattan College, TCNJ, and a lecturer at Princeton University, she created and founded The McCarter Theatre Youth Conservatory and Training Wing in 1989 and was McCarter’s first Education Director and Master Acting teacher for many years.
Laura made a career change after her son was born. She has been a full-time Realtor now for over 22 years, and has always been one of a select group of top producing agents. Laura recently listed and sold the highest priced sale in Princeton in 2021, and has accomplished that in previous years, as well.
She is an odd mix of diametrically opposed DNA. Her grandmother was a cousin to Ernest Hemingway, while her father was a descendent of the political Utah Huntsman clan. She brings to her work an ebullient personality and a smorgasbord of skills that combine in a way that works perfectly to create the highly professional and successful Realtor® that she is. She knows exactly how to “kick in” to her in-depth sleuthing mode: diagnosing data, analyzing the relevant players, dissecting potential issues, and becoming a ‘terrier on a pant leg’ when she needs to be. Her always “on-target” people skills, and uber-savvy negotiating skills were perfected during many years of traveling the world with her parents, (her stepfather was a newspaper owner, Editor, and served on the Board of the Associated Press for decades). Laura grew up surrounded by renowned actors, directors, journalists, politicians and writers. It has definitely shaped who she is now, and how she goes about her daily work. It sets her apart.
She’s smart, funny, quick-witted, and leaves no stone unturned. She's at the top of her game. Above all, she has the utmost integrity, in every facet of her work, and is always discreet. Laura serves each and every one of her clients with a 100% commitment to concierge service, unwavering diligence and supreme loyalty. Laura does not utilize an assistant. You always get her, not second best. When buying or selling a home, don't work with anyone else. You want Laura leading your team, from start to finish.
Laura’s husband, Steve LeMenager, is a professional college admissions consultant, President and Founder of an international company, Edvice. Having served as the Director of Admissions at Princeton University for decades, as well as an honorary member of Princeton’s Class of 1983, he counsels families and students on college admissions, helping them to navigate the increasingly competitive, confusing and complicated process of applying to college.
Laura and Steve have one son, who attended Princeton Day School and Colorado College, dogs, (yes, terriers), and a white Norwegian Fjord horse named Silas. Laura has served on the Board of Trustees of The Arts Council of Princeton, and currently serves as the President of the Board of the Whole Earth Center, an organic natural foods store in Princeton, founded as a non-profit grocery in 1970, on the very first Earth Day.
